Day care center
Since 2000 school has operated a day care center for children and young people with special needs. Children there learn how to make friends and how to effectively use one’s spare time doing something useful and interesting together.
Main activities:
- Labor Training: household (housekeeping, cooking), carpenter’s work, weaving, needlework, furniture restoration.
- Leisure activities: discos, visits to museums, musical performances and concerts, tours in ethnographic farmstead, a bowling club.
- Development of creativity: teaching techniques of floristics, ceramics, decoupage, decorative painting on glass.
This activity helps to reduce social exclusion, increase social experience and to improve quality of life. It provides safe and healthy environment and appropriate assistance to help to compensate the lack of independence and ability to maintain social ties with the community.
